Update Eight!

Still my lovely MacBook Pro- still going strong after 2.5 years! Changed the names and icons (Naruto was annoying me) for all my Drives to the Container Icons by Antrepo which now look a lot nicer. (I also got a new drive since the last screenshot so I figured it was time.) Wallpaper is now the awesome Summer Dream by ~antonisfes, and the folder icons are the Sticker Pack linked below.

In the Menubar are a number of different things- In order: Weatherbug, Medialink, Synergy, Desktoptopia, Twitterrific, Soundsource, MobileMe Sync, Time Machine Backup, Spaces, Displays, Bluetooth, WiFi, iStat Menu - Fan Speed, Temperature + CPU usage, Battery, iStat Menu Calendar, Fuzzyclock + Spotlight. Google them up if you want to know the links. :B

Update Seven!

It's been a very long time since I updated this, and the first one with my Mac's desktop rather than my Windows PC. (That needs to be reskinned so I haven't included it in the image.)

In before "ZOMG NARUTARD", they were just the most amusing names for my various external Hard drives which I had Icons and a variety of names for. You can find them here and here. The wallpaper I got from a recent submission on the Aqua-Soft forums, ( Edit: miinii.com ) and other icons are a mix of David Langham's Sticker Icons pack, among others.

Update Six!

Current deviation image! You'll see that it's kinda like um, blue. The main shell is the Royal Inspirat Mod by ~playboy, which you'll agree is teh secks. It restyles your whole os so you don't need to use anything else like windowblinds for the explorer windows etc. Also skinned is iTunes with the Royal Inspirat SE skin. You'll find all the info you need to install it in the deviation info. Suffice to say it's the Multiplugin with iTunes 6.0.4.5, currently in the Mini Player mode.

The wallpaper is by ~tinkupuri and can be found in his Vista Pleasure Wallpaper Pack, along with a variety of other colours. Very pretty. This one is the Juicy Blue without logo.
The icons used are a big mix from all over. On the Objectdock at the bottom are a selection from ~googleplex's Wiped-Out set, ~mattahan's Gant pack, `multivitamin's MultiMinimal and *weboso's Adobe Icons., Not quite sure where I got the slightly edited Google Earth icon though.

On the desktop you'll see my Konfabulator widgets, or should I say, "Yahoo Widgets" now that the conglomerate has taken it over. I still call it Konfabulator though. Anyway, the weather widget you can get here, The tasklist is aka What to Do, the WiFi monitor should come with the latest download of "Yahoo Widgets" but is also here. Megatokyo wiget is here, and I have since writing added this questionablecontent widget, but can't be bothered to take another screenie. Nana. Oh, and the calendar in the bottom left is Rainlendar with the Aerolendar skin.

Update Five!

I've used the original deviation's text for this, but looking back I really liked this setup. T'was like, my dark time hence the black shell, wallpaper and winamp skin. It was also the first time I put the start bar at the top. I'd been using macs a lot more in college and I'd just got used to it. Now if I put the bar at the bottom I get very confuzzled.
Last thing to mention is that the preview to the piece of pixel art that I started an age ago and haven't worked on much since. Actually opened it up and did a bit today but I'm beat from college and didn't feel like doing much.

---

Considering I've now changed my desktop maybe 4 or 5 times since my last screenshot, thought I'd update it. Sorry about the lack of anything interesting but hopefully this should show you what I've been up to.

Firstly the left hand side: my main desktop. It uses Aston as a complete Windows Explorer replacement- i.e. it doesn't actually skin windows features like the start bar, start menu etc. It completely replaces them. (An example of the start menu can be seen here) It doesn't however, skin the top bar of windows, Minimise, Maximise, Close buttons, mouse cursors etc. That I leave in the very capable hands of the Neowin Patch that enables me to use unofficial skins with the standard windows display menu. Neat, huh? I really couldn't tell you what the skin actually is, it's called "Alienware" in the list but it isn't the Official Alienware Skin as made by The Skins Factory or anything else I can find via google. So...it's a little mystery. Oooh.
The Aston skin I use is actually just the default skin that I've heavily modded to turn black to go with the wallpaper- I really like how well this skin works, so I've just changed the colour by colourising all the images that make it up with Photoshop- e.g. the shell in my last screenshot was green, but in the One Before that it was blue. (Default) It's changed colours many a time for all the wallpapers I've had since then.
I've had a go at creating my own skin but failed miserably so meh.

The wallpaper is Crystallize by `niteangel, but I believe the 1280 resolution version is only available from his website Angelworld. It's also why I made the shell black because it goes so nicely. The large clock in the top right, the weather infomation in the bottom right, and the free memory space meter and the system infomation in the top right are all widgets for Konfabulator and are all available from The Widget Gallery.
That Megatokyo thing up top is a drop down comic viewer that shows me the most recent comic and automatically updates and everything. Very cool. No, I'm sorry but I can't be bothered to find all the links again.
For the few icons that are on my desktop, the yellow cone is from the multiMINIMALv2 icons pack by our very own creative staffer `multivitamin and the Adobe Photoshop one below is from the Adobe Creative Suite 2 Icons by *weboso, although I halfed the size to it's original because otherwise it takes up too much space.
The Winamp Skin is D-Reliction by ~kriptoner, and the todo list is a part of Rainlendar. This also has a calendar and alarm system built in and is great for keeping overworked admins like myself on track.

That's about it for my desktop, oh and I use Trillian 3 as my IM client as it can handle various types of Instant Messaging, the ones i use visible on my Userpage.

Now, the right hand side shows just a small section of what I've been working on for a while now on and off. It's going to be a full isometric pixelling of Archangel, which is a ship from the Anime series Gundam Seed that I've taken a shine to. Anyway, that image in the top left is the front leg and just a preview if you wish of what's to come. The other images open are screenshots from the series (on the right) and one from the link above. (bottom left)

Update Four!

Another colour change as with the last time, but as it's pretty well kitted out with links I'll let you do the hard work. P= I will link you to the wallpaper though, Street Punks by ~cronobreaker as it got a DD and it's awesome. Oh and my main man ~Fatboy72's Butterfly icons. Also feel free to check out the Firefox dA Sidebar that I started making and got sidetracked from. Might bring it back to life with all this php I've been learning.

Update Three!

All this old deleted artwork makes me feel so old. Basically took the Astonshell images from my last screenshot and shoved them all through a colour-change in Photoshop to keep with the wallpaper colour, which was a piece by ~septic...
...which has been taken down. Still got it in 1024 if anyone wants it.
Added an extra menu uptop, the winamp skin used is D-Reliction by ~kriptoner, which I still use as my main winamp skin. I honestly can't remember where the big smiley red demon-thing icon came from, apart from that ~bizarreSK linked it to me. It comes with mouth open and shut, and I can't send it to you if ya like. If anyone knows where it came from, link plz. The lego icons used are by :devaji-rojikku: and can be found here for windows and here for mac.

Update Two!

Started using the hilariously smexy Astonshell as my shell, which allowed uber-customisability w00t. I think the shell somes with the program, but I can probably send it to you in a zip file if y'all want. Wallpaper used is called Airport and you used to be able to get it from here in ~bizarreSK's gallery, but it's been taken down and I haven't seen him around for ages. :[
The stats bar down at the bottom is Sysmetrix with a skin...bleh somewhere.

Update One!

My first actual screenshot submitted, (original deviation deleted for some reason) the wallpaper is an FFX artwork that I couldn't find with a quick t'internet browse but I'll send you it you you want it. 1024. Also got a few others in the same series that r0x0r. The Winamp skin used is called Pionner3 and can be found @ customize.org.

Original Desktop

Not really a screenshot, but it showed the messy area that I used to have as my work area. :] Note the stacks of work that I had at that time, and all the magazine cover disc dvds on the shelf- there's now twice as many.

They're just custom icons for the folders- I use the Sticker Pack ones ( [link] ) and they will also appear in the sidebar as well as in the main Finder pane.

Heh yeah, picked up another one as well last year, although White + Silver are one drive which has been partitioned. Either way, it's 3.8TB of storage. :bucktooth: It gets used a lot for files in my line of work.
Thanks man! Love the icon, btw.
